Meet
Dr. McDoniell
We are thrilled to introduce Dr. Jeremy McDoniell to our practice! Born in Fairhope, Alabama, and raised in Robertsdale, Dr. McDoniell brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our team. After graduating from Robertsdale High School, he earned his BS in Biology from The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!), where he also met his wonderful wife, Cole.
Dr. McDoniell’s impressive educational journey continued with a Master of Biomedical Science degree, focusing on oral biology and pharmacology, from Rutgers University. He then obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the prestigious New York University. His commitment to excellence didn’t stop there; he completed a general practice residency at the East Orange VA Medical Center in New Jersey, where he dedicated his skills to serving our military veterans—a passion he continues to uphold.
Throughout his career, Dr. McDoniell has been dedicated to ensuring patient comfort while delivering top-notch dental care. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Outside the office, Dr. McDoniell enjoys spending quality time with his family, including his wife and their 2-year-old daughter, Reagan. He is also a foodie who loves exploring new restaurants and enjoys golfing in his free time.
We are confident that Dr. McDoniell’s expertise and compassionate approach will be a tremendous asset to our patients and our practice. Please join us in welcoming him to the team!
Meet
Dr. Brabston
If Dr. Gene Brabston could do it all over again, he would still be a dentist. He’s passionate about providing painless, stress-free dental care for the whole family, and is most proud of the lifelong relationships that he has established with his patients throughout his 40-year tenure.
When he was younger, a trampoline accident landed Dr. Brabston in a dental office where he received emergency care. After the emergency, he returned to the dentist for multiple follow-up visits, and the treatment he received was always friendly and painless. The compassionate care he received during and after his dental emergency was enough to spark Dr. Brabston’s passion for dentistry.
Dr. Brabston received his DMD at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry and completed his General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
About
The Living Oaks team
Our credentialed and experienced team always makes sure that you and your family are comfortable during your visits. We are proud to serve the community of Fairhope and to serve our patients compassionately. Our friendly staff greets everyone who walks through our doors with warmth, because at Living Oaks Dental, you’re family.
What Makes Us Different?
At Living Oaks Dental, you will receive nothing less than the most thorough care no matter what your reasoning is for coming in. From minor oral health checkups to complex procedures, we pride ourselves on holding our team and office to the highest standards and delivering results that put smiles on our patient’s faces.
Your comfort and satisfaction with our work are our number one priorities. We cater to patients who have dental anxiety, special needs, a strong gag reflex, and low pain tolerance by providing dental sedation options for all of our patients. Sedation can even be administered during routine visits such as dental cleanings and checkups; there is no treatment considered too small for anxiety relief.
Our team at Living Oaks Dental receives special training in bedside manner to ensure that our patients feel comforted, respected, and informed by a friendly, understanding, and knowledgeable staff. Our small team enables us to strictly uphold this promise of compassionate care.
High-Quality Compassionate Care For the Whole Family
We strongly believe in the concept of a dental home where you and your family can consider us as part of your dental family for your lifelong dental needs. Establishing a trusting and secure relationship with young children from an early age helps to reduce dental-related anxiety and stress, and makes them more likely to be excited and proactive about oral health.
You can be assured that our team will always end each appointment by giving you time to ask any questions you’d like answered related to your oral health or our practice. We want our patients to leave feeling more confident about their dental treatment and oral health so if you’re unsure about something or looking for advice, ask away!
Patients should feel empowered to demand answers to things they don’t understand and question why certain treatments are necessary or if any alternatives exist. It’s your oral health and it’s important to take control of it.
Why Choose a Family Dentist
Unlike pediatric dentists, we can treat your entire family with no arbitrary age limits that act as barriers to much-needed dental health accessibility. We understand that life as a parent can be hectic, busy, and stressful, which is why we do everything we can to make bookings and dental treatments more convenient.
Experience the convenience of appointments for the entire family for simultaneous care. Regular cleanings and checkups reduce your child’s likelihood of needing more complex and expensive dental work in the future. While Dr. Brabson isn’t a pediatric dentist, you can expect the same high quality of dental care for each patient no matter what age they are.
We can tailor dental appointments to the needs of children such as taking precautions to avoid the formation of cavities and screening for hereditary dental problems that would not be possible at a pediatric dentist who only treats children.
